Privacy and Your Data
This page explains what happens to the numbers you type into our calculators, what is counted, and what is stored on your own device.
Calculators run in your browser
The calculators on this site run in your browser, and the numbers you enter are never sent to a server. Position size, margin and pip values are worked out on your own device, so a lot size or an account balance you type in does not travel to us or to anyone else.
That design is deliberate. Trading figures can reveal how much money someone has and how they trade, and there is no reason for a calculator to know either. Nothing you type is stored, logged or passed to a broker.
Affiliate links and how they are tracked when you click
Some links to brokers on this site are affiliate links, which means the site may receive a payment if you open an account with that broker after clicking. This does not change what you pay the broker or the terms you receive. The link includes a code that tells the broker the visit came from this site. That code is attached to the click, not to your identity, and it does not give this site access to your account or trading activity.
Affiliate tracking works by placing a cookie on the broker's site when you arrive through our link, so the broker can credit the referral if you sign up. That cookie is set by the broker, not by this site, and it lasts for whatever period the broker's own policy states. This site does not receive your name, account number, deposit amount, or trading results from the broker. The only information we may receive is a confirmation that a referral occurred, without details about you.
The affiliate relationship does not influence the factual content of this site. We do not adjust spreads, leverage figures, or risk warnings to favour a broker. The leverage cap and margin example shown on this site come from the entity that serves Uganda and are stated as a cap, not as a recommendation. If you prefer not to be tracked, you can open the broker's site directly in a new tab rather than through our link; the information on this site remains the same either way.
Brokers set their own cookies
When you follow a link to a broker, that broker sets its own cookies and handles your data under its own privacy policy, not ours. We do not control what a broker collects once you are on its site, and its policy is the document to read.
That includes any referral tracking attached to a link from this site. Before you open an account and send money through Mobile Money, read the broker's privacy and client terms, and check the regulator caveat: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA; confirm any broker on the CMA Uganda licensed persons list.
Your rights over your data and how to exercise them
You have the right to ask what data this site holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because this site does not collect names or contact details, the data it holds is limited to the preference and analytics cookies described above. To exercise these rights, clear the cookies through your browser settings; that removes the data from your device. For any request about data held by a broker, contact the broker directly, as this site does not hold your account information.
If you believe this site has handled your data incorrectly, you can raise the matter with the site operator using the contact route published on the site, and you can also complain to the relevant data protection authority in Uganda. This site does not sell data, so there is no opt-out from sale to request. For analytics, you can block the analytics cookie in your browser and your visit will no longer be counted. For affiliate tracking, open broker links directly rather than through this site.
These rights apply regardless of where you are reading from, but the practical steps are the same: use your browser controls to delete or block cookies, and contact the broker for anything related to your trading account. This site cannot delete data held by a broker, and a broker cannot delete cookies set by this site. Keeping the two separate is part of how the site is built, so you always know which party to approach for which request.
Third parties that may receive data when you use this site
The third parties involved are the analytics provider that sets the analytics cookie, the broker whose link you click, and the web hosting provider that serves the site's pages. The analytics provider receives a random identifier and the page you visited, not your name. The broker receives the referral code when you click an affiliate link and then handles your data under its own privacy policy. The hosting provider processes standard request logs for security and uptime.
No other third parties receive data from this site. There are no advertising networks, data brokers, or social media trackers embedded in the pages. The calculators do not call external services; they run in your browser. If you use Mobile Money to fund a broker account, that transaction happens entirely within the broker's platform and your mobile network operator's systems, not on this site. This site never sees your Mobile Money number or the amount you send.
Because the site is accessible in Uganda, the broker entity that serves this country is the one that will handle your account if you sign up. That entity's regulators are stated in the site's footer: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA; confirm any broker on the CMA Uganda licensed persons list. This site does not pass your data to the broker beyond the referral code in the link; anything you enter on the broker's site is governed by the broker's own privacy notice.
What this site stores on your device and what it never asks for
This site stores only your chosen display preferences, such as language and the last instrument you viewed, in your browser's local storage; it never asks for your name, email, phone number, or any account credentials. Those preferences stay on your device and are not sent to our servers. Because the site has no login, there is no user profile to hold, and nothing you type into the calculators is saved beyond the current page session. If you clear your browser data, those preferences are removed.
The site does not store payment details, Mobile Money numbers, or broker account information because it never collects them. Any funding you arrange happens on the broker's own platform, not here. We also do not store trading history, open positions, or balances—those belong to your broker account. The only persistent item is the small set of display preferences mentioned above, which exist to save you re-entering them on each visit. Nothing is written to a server-side database about you as an individual reader.
What the site does not store includes IP addresses in a form tied to your identity, device fingerprints, or cross-site identifiers. Server logs may record standard request data for security and uptime monitoring, but these are not used to build a profile of you. The calculators do not transmit the numbers you type; they run entirely in your browser. In short, the site is built to work without knowing who you are, and it does not ask for anything that would change that.
What is counted, and what is stored locally
We keep only aggregate traffic counts, which show how many visits a page received and nothing about who made them. There is no profile of an individual reader, and the counts are not used to target anything at you.
Local storage on your own device holds your preferences, such as a setting you chose in a calculator, so the page behaves the same way next time. That data stays in your browser and can be cleared by you at any time from your browser settings.
The cookies this site sets and what each kind is for
This site sets two kinds of cookies: a small preference cookie that remembers your language and display choices, and an analytics cookie that helps us see which pages are used. The preference cookie is set by this site and lasts until you clear it or it expires after a set period. The analytics cookie is set by a third-party analytics provider and records a random identifier so repeat visits are not counted as new users. Neither cookie contains your name or contact details.
The preference cookie exists so that the site does not reset your chosen instrument or language on every page load. The analytics cookie exists so we can count visits and see which calculators are opened, without identifying who opened them. Brokers you visit through links on this site set their own cookies on their own domains; those are not controlled by this site and are covered by the broker's own cookie notice. This site does not set advertising cookies or cookies that track you across other websites.
You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking the preference cookie means the site will not remember your choices between visits, but the calculators will still work. Blocking the analytics cookie means your visit will not be counted in our usage reports, which does not affect what you see. No cookie set by this site is used to build a profile for advertising, and none is shared with data brokers.
How long data is kept, what deletes it, and how policy changes are announced
Preference cookies set by this site last until their expiry period ends or until you clear your browser data, whichever comes first; clearing your browser's cookies and site data deletes them immediately. Analytics cookies last for the period set by the analytics provider and are also removed when you clear your browser. Server request logs held by the hosting provider are kept for a short period for security and uptime checks and are then deleted on a rolling basis. No data is kept indefinitely by this site.
When this privacy policy changes, the revised version is published on this page with a new effective date shown at the top. The site does not send email notifications because it does not collect email addresses. If a change affects what is stored on your device, the new policy will say so plainly, and you can review it before continuing to use the site. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy; if you do not, you can stop using the site and clear your cookies.
The calculators do not send the numbers you type to any server, so there is no stored calculation history to delete. When you close the page, the numbers are gone. If you follow a broker link, the broker's own retention rules apply from that point, and this site has no control over them. The guiding principle is that this site keeps as little as possible for as short as possible, and what it does keep is removed by clearing your browser or by the passage of the stated period.
